INSTRUCTION - Training & Development Program Level 2

Mastering Daysailing

Midwest Sailings level 2 course introduces one of the most popular forms of sailing: Daysailing.

Level 2, taught in the Flying Scot, is a roomy, stable, foregiving boat that is both family and student friendly making it ideal for teaching in the "Hands-on" approach to learning.

The course builds on the skills & equipment learned in the level one by introducing additional rigging (outhaul/vang), equipment (centerboard/keel), and a sail (jib), staples in daysailer designs.

Students are challenged with the increased maneuverability of the monohull design relative to the catamaran, particularily in fresher breezes.
